Om Nom Om Nom, a semi-private cooking community
So Twiller and I are signed up for a test-month with the local co-op grocery/farm thing. (Where we pay money and they give us fresh veg/fruit)|
and I come to you, my favorite livejournal community about cooking and food because HOLY CRAP what I am going to do with all these greens.
A huge head of romaine lettuce - it is as large as my own head.
Swiss chard - the stems are yellow. They're really pretty!
Teh Dreaded Cilantro which is actually pretty good fresh so maybe not so dreaded
Also, baby broccoli and carrots which I know lots of things to do with.
So what the heck do I do with the chard?! also the kale although that's pretty good raw so I can always salad it with the spinach and the romaine lettuce
(also got some grapefruit, oranges, apples dates and strawberries. I'd never eaten a date before. Oh my god SO GOOD.)
