St. Louis is gifted with like, four different food magazines (free!) most of which are pretty awesome. This month was an expose of BUTTER (one of my favorite foods!) among which was a recipe for hot buttered rum. I made the trashier, easier version of it...|
Hot Buttered Rum
1 stick butter
1/2 lb brown sugar
1 tsp pie spice
nutmeg (if you like it)
splash of rum
Combine the above to make 'base'.
Mix 1 T (or more) base and 1 shot rum in bottom of irish coffee glass. Mix in hot water, top with whipped cream if desired. Good without.
